For the second year, Artspiration is excited to offer Mixed Media Summer Art Camp children ages 8-12 and teens ages 13 and up.
Who: Artspiration's Mixed Media Summer Camp is designed with different age groups in mind. Daily sessions for children ages 8-12 will take place in the morning with an afternoon session designed for teens ages 13+. All students should be self-motivated, positive and friendly, engaged and cooperative during camp activities. Camp sessions will be limited to 20-25 kids.
What: Students will experiment with a variety of materials and learn techniques to create paintings, assemblage, collage, and sculpture. They will build a portfolio with their finished art pieces showcasing their knowledge of color, depth, and texture. All art will be on display at Ketchup City Creative at the end of each course.
Where: Classes will be held at Ketchup City Creative, 612 Main Street, Sharpsburg, PA 15215
When: Session 1: June 15 - June 19
Pre-Teen (Ages 8-12): 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Teen (Ages 13+): 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Session 2: June 22 - June 26
Pre-Teen (Ages 8-12): 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Teen (Ages 13+): 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Daily sessions for Pre-Teens (8-12) run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Daily sessions for Teens (13+) run from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Cost is $120 per student for one week of camp.
Camp Details
Our space at Ketchup City Creative is fully air-conditioned and has a handicap-accessible restroom for use. Campers may bring a snack and drinks that do not need to be heated or refrigerated. Campers should wear clothes that are OK to potentially get a little messy. We'll do the best we can to avoid that, but things happen!
